The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is set to release the placement results for the 2019 KCSE candidates on Tuesday. According to the agency, the placement process is complete and applicants will receive their results on Tuesday.

“Hello, placement process is complete, you will get to know your placement status tomorrow. Check your student portal for feedback.” noted KUCCPS on Monday evening in a response to a query on the status of the placement process.

This year’s release of the results have been delayed seemingly due to the current covid 19 pandemic. KUCCPS released placement results for the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, students on the 15th of April, 2019. A total of 89,486 students were placed to degree programmes in public and private universities. While TVET programmes (diploma, craft certificate and artisan certificate) took up a total of 98,393.

Placement results are conveyed to students via SMS. The students can also visit the Official KUCCPS student’s portal.

The 125,449 candidates who sat for their KCSE in 2019 and scored grade C+ (plus) and above will all be placed against the available capacity of 193,878. Another 688,928 students qualified for placement at tertiary institutions under government sponsorship. Similarly, a total of 563,479 students who scored between C and E and will be receiving their placement results at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
